Harper's First Birthday Party!! {Part O n e}

I now present Harper's Pink + Gold, Princess, Tutu First Birthday Party!!!
Lol.
I am very happy with how it came together considering a tight budget and being held at my parents house and in the kitchen and dining room area. I only invited our closest friends and of course my parents and sister and her family so it was very intimate which was perfect for my shy girl. I of course put this pretty much all together day of (except for the DIY stuff) including going to Trader Joe's and Target to get a couple small finger foods (including mac and cheese bites, mini chicken tacos, and stuffed mushrooms) and some last minute things. I was stressed to the max and didn't have time to even get ready so I just threw on some jean shorts, THIS cute tank I picked up at Target in the girls section, threw my hair in a bun and wa la!! At least Harper looked like a little ballerina princess in her ruffle pettidress (similar) and her custom Jameson Monroe headband
The cake table.
I made the first birthday stats chalkboard myself on photoshop. I planned for these cupcakes to have yellow tissue paper coming out the top of the straws but I ran out of time. These were funfetti cupcakes with cotton candy frosting!
Harper and her monthly pictures.
We had sparkling lemonades and pink and white frosted animal crackers.
Pink and Gold backdrop. I made the tassel garland. The Happy Birthday is a generic one from Target that I spray painted gold and the paper garland is also from Target.
I ordered this small cake from a local bakery plain and then just added the sprinkles myself and found the glitter 1 at walmart.
These tiara hair combs were also found at Target in the party favor bin for $2 dollars for four! I also added the sparkly gold onto the clear cake stand from Party City by just painting the underneath with gold sparkle nail polish. Genious right?!
Made a mini tutu for her high chair and the ONE with pipe cleaners and spray painted them gold.
I am very proud of my tassel garland! It took me a few weeks every night to make this but it was well worth it!
For my parents kitchen not matching the theme AT ALL, I think it turned out pretty damn good ;)
And of course I just hung a tutu on a pretty hanger for a cute added touch.

I hope you enjoyed Harper's First Birthday Party!!!!
