Harper's First trip to the Zoo!

We finally went to the zoo with our little ONE year old princess! Sorry I am not use to saying that yet...
We had so much fun. Actually I think Nick and I had more fun but that's ok. It was a great family day with just the three of us. Those days are rare because our schedules are so opposite but we finally both had a whole day off on the same day so we took advantage and headed to the most amazing zoo on the planet, Omaha, Henry Doorly Zoo.

We started out in the Jungle. I think Harper was a little timid at first but then once I let her walk around and she could see things on her level she enjoyed it a lot more.

We then ventured over to the Aquarium. My favorite stop at our zoo. It is so beautiful and I was so hoping for some better pictures but there was SO many people there we could barely move or let alone look at anything without getting pushed and shoved. Next time, next time...
Their were divers in the tanks playing with this turtle and blowing bubbles at them. It was so cool!

So in love with these jelly fish.

After the aquarium we wanted to walk outside to see all of the outside stuff. Harper fell asleep on our little  HUGE walk through the whole entire zoo. It was so nice that she took a nap in the stroller and Nick and I got to kind of hangout just us. It was perfect!

Every "cat" was sleeping.... boo

Apparently H got the nap time memo.

After she woke up we took some a lot of pics with the little miss in front of the gorilla statues. It is pretty much a must take photo when you go to our zoo.

We were pretty much exhausted after that so we went into one more exhibit and showed Harp's the monkeys because it is so cute and she slept through it the first time. She was more interested in the big kids and watching all the people than seeing the animals but its ok we had fun and I cant wait for millions of future zoo trips!

We also went to our favorite Mexican restaurant after the zoo. We were starving and didn't eat anything (except for Harper's snacks lol) because we did not want to pay an arm and a leg for a 10 dollar hot dog. Yup, were cheapos. HA! We pretty much inhaled our food like we have never eaten before. And Harper could care less because she just kept throwing her quesadilla on the floor... Why do they do that?!
Mmmm quesadilla!

Talking and eating as usual

Who Me?!?

  4. Looks like you guys had a BLAST! I cannot wait to take Jaxon back to the zoo when he actually knows what's going on versus just being more interested in checking out the stroller the entire time. Haha!
