Lazy Weekend, Teething {sucks}, Thrush, and Dreams.

Another lazy weekend, oh I love you very much! It feels good to not have to go anywhere, do anything, and just be a complete bum. We have also been battling the ugly teething monster and now I think I might have thrush... (Does anyone have any experience with thrush? HELP) Never thought I would be buying nipple cream after a year of breastfeeding but I did and Harper and I are both in extreme pain. She is cutting four or five teeth all at once and it is breaking my heart. Her first two teeth came in suddenly and individually and never seemed to cause her any discomfort. Now these hellions are causing chaos to my sweet girl and I cant wait for this teething crap to be over... She has been given daily doses of Tylenol to help ease the pain and we try to just distract her when we see her getting uncomfortable (which turns on and off in an instant). Poor baby. Praying this is over soon.
I have also been busy setting up photo sessions with my friends and setting up a website/blog for my photography. I hope my business dreams pan out so that I can be a WAHM and have the best of both worlds.

Trying to distract pain with pretty breakfast ;)
This picture breaks my heart. I hate seeing her in pain. I just happened to catch this when I was trying to distract her with some selfies; my poor sweet girl, I wish I could take all your pain away \:(
For some reason I love this picture. I have always wanted to capture a moment of our special time together nursing to look back on and remember how amazing this time was. Its ironic how I could be in so much pain because of it but the pain is temporary, the bond is forever.
And I caught a happy girl! Oh I love her so.  Me holding my baby and my baby holding her baby.
PS- its extra hard to get a good pic of us, especially when its a self timer, grab the baby and pose. ;) This is real life.

My sweet fur baby Bella was my test shoot last night. I am doing a couple shoot with their dog tonight so I needed a little model. She sure is a good looking furry model. xoxoxo

  2. Sadly---I know way too much about thrush. Call your dr for a rx for APNO ointment (it has an antifungal in it that helps, and an anti-inflammatory that helps with pain.) I resorted to actually trying gentian violet (on myself only) and white vinegar treatments, email me at msmessetc@yahoo.com if you want more info. It's the worst, sorry!

    1. Thank you for the advice. Sorry you had to deal with that... When I looked up thrush and compared symptoms I thought for sure that's what was going on but I have been using the lanolin and it has really seemed to help so I'm thinking it wasn't thrush now but I just want it to be normal again!

  7. Just started following your blog! Love it. I'm terrified of thrush, but if you ever feel like you're getting it again start with some probiotics! I take one every other day just in case!
