Dallas Trip + Halloween 2014

I promise I still love my blog and blogging. I just cannot keep up with my life and I also need me time consisting of sitting down and watching trash shows so yeah that's taken over whenever I am free. ;)
So.... Lately.
We were out of town for almost a whole week for my sis's wedding and it was a blast! The wedding was freaking perfect and I am so happy I got to stand next to her while she married her best friend. Harper and my niece Tenley were the prettiest little flower girls and Harps ran all the way down the aisle and then stood next to me during the ceremony and at the very end dumped the basket of flowers haha. It was pretty cute. We all had such a great time celebrating and Nick and I even got to have a baby free night at a hotel, woo hoo! We were def on vacay but we missed our babe! Harper and Tenley absolutely adore each other and they really are best friends. Tenley walks around saying "Harper, Harper" 24/7 and Harper loves saying, "Tenley so happy to see me!" Gah. I wish I could have video'd the whole trip of them! Cant wait to be back for Thanksgiving!

Halloween didn't go as I planned, well, costume wise anyways. I ordered Harps the cutest LaLaLoopsy doll costume with a pink wig! Yup I was pumped but as soon as it came she HATED it. She was freaked out by the wig and kept saying it was gonna hurt so I had to scratch that idea and just go with what she wanted. (Duh, trust me I felt like the worst mom when I didn't just let her have her choice.) So we went with a princess for dance class and Minnie for Halloween. Both were a hit with her which is all that really matters! As long as my angel is happy, I'm happy! We went to a fun indoor church Halloween event and got lots of candy and played with our besties Traegan and his momma! She loved her Minnie costume so much, she wore it the next day too! Oh Harps.

Now that crazy photographer month October is over, I am slowing down a bit but still editing every day and night and now getting ready for holiday minis which are coming up next week. I love this time of year and I am looking forward to the next few months of family and fun and holidays woooo!

Blogger Halloween Exchange

Yay for Halloween week!! I was so excited when we got this sweet package in the mail from the lovely ladies Courtney and Mia from From here to Eternity. I haven't been in the halloween spirit until this showed up and Harper ripped it open and was gasping and oohing with excitement!! Of course she loves the stickers and books and I can't wait to paint my nails today with this perfect shade of purple and adorn them with halloween nail art stickers! So much fun! Thank you so so much Courtney! We really appreciate it and we loved participating in the halloween exchange! You can check out what I sent Jess & Sadie HERE!

Lately in Pictures

October is no joke for us. It has been go go go and I feel like I can't keep up so instead of rambling on with our weekend I will just empty my camera roll on here! I hope you all had a great weekend and have a wonderful week!

Fall has been SO good. :)
She's too cool. ;)
Pom Hat// Flannel Shirt// Skinny Jeans// Boots (similar)//

She's so silly!

Off to dance!

The cutest pumpkin ever!
Pumpkin Tee

I was doing stuff around the house and came back to her already sleeping! I love when she does this because she rarely falls asleep on her own. Its usually a battle, eek!
I didn't see my girl all day on Friday because I shot a wedding so Daddy sent me pics all day and she was spoiled with happy meals and lots of Daddy time!

My gorge dinner date!!
And then she passed out on me! I'm wondering if I should start cutting naps so she will go to bed at a normal time...

My poor baby got her first (and hopefully one and only) black eye yesterday :( She jumped off the couch and bounced right into the coffee table. I felt terrible but of course it barely even phased her. Can I please put her in a bubble!?
Twonager!
Best gram ever! She brings Harper to play at the same park I am shooting at! So thankful for her!!
JumP!
"See!"

Proud.

Lately my girl has just been surprising me left and right with how freaking good she has been and I feel like I just need to brag about her and tell everyone how proud I am of her. I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way at all but after the last 6 months to a year I thought Harper was going to be a handful especially in her "terrible twos" but it has been the complete opposite! For the record H has actually been an amazing baby from day one. She was never very fussy, she was so sweet, and she was just all around "good". When she turned one she started getting her own personality and the sass was turned up to the max! She was still a sweetheart but she didn't like strangers talking to her, she was over getting her picture taken, she had become super independent and strong willed and she really doesn't like to be told what to do. I would always call her a drama queen because everything was just the biggest deal ever. (p.s.- while I'm writing this, I feel like I'm writing an autobiography, ha).

But, lately she has just been an absolute dream!! I don't know if its just her getting older (ya know the big 27 months lol) or what but she has just changed. She now loves chatting with people, saying hi to people and being sweet when people are talking to her. She has been the leader in her dance class and listens so well and participates every week. She has been so polite saying please and thank you after every request and it is soooo flipping sweet I can't even!!! She did absolutely amazing at her dentist appointment this week when I thought for sure it would have been a shit show, phew. She went through a long ass car ride to Texas and back and not once cried, whined, or even seemed phased. And today just totally put the cherry on top for me when we went to get her school picture, I assumed that she would be super shy and probably throw a fit because she is sometimes hard to photograph because she just doesn't want to, but she went right in and sat on the little stool and let the sweet man pose her legs and hands and she smiled so pretty and just totally proved me wrong. I was basically crying because I was so beyond proud of how amazing she had acted!! The funny thing is she cried right after because we weren't going into her class which she use to throw fits about it when I would leave her not too long ago.

I know this all seems like little stuff but to me its huge! Don't get me wrong I'm 100% always a proud mama but lately I feel like I have been saying, gosh, I am so proud of her a million times a day. I actually don't even think my words are coming out right because I don't know how to describe how I have been feeling about my dream girl lately but the best way to put it is just that I am so effing proud I could shout it to the moon!! I guess I kind of am for writing it out, but hey, my kid is the shit and I love her to death so I feel like I can say it. I'm sure she will put me through the ringer tomorrow but for now I am soaking in all her goodness!! ;)
