It's The Little Things// Harps First Dance Class

My heart could just explode right now!!!! Harper had her first dance class today and it was the cutest thing ever! Of course it wouldn't be in Harper fashion without a little drama so of course there were tears and a meltdown over ballet shoes and cheezits but for the most part it was fun and exciting.
It started off fine, she was ecstatic to put her dress on and go to "dance cwass" and meet new friends. We get there and she had to try on ballet shoes but she then got a major attitude when the sweet teacher simply asked her to stand up to see if they fit and it was a sassy NO and then a meltdown because she wanted cheezits but then really didn't want them, ugh. As soon as another little girl came in she was all smiles again and was twirling around the lobby and saying "TA-DA!" so I was certain she would be fine in the class. The teacher came out and told the girls to follow her and they were all fine at first until the doors shut. Two of them wanted Mom so they started bawling and then Harper immediately joined in. I felt so bad but I knew she was technically fine but after like 20 minutes of off and on tears the teacher wanted the crying baby mommies to come in to try and calm them down. I went in and after a few minutes she was good again and they were all sashaying around the dance floor! I'm so happy she finally had fun at the end and I hope next week will be better! I really hope she loves dance because its pretty damn cute to see a two year old skipping around ;)

It's The Little Things// Flower Pickin'

Hi lovies. Our summer has been off to a great start and I just love this time of year! Sorry, I think I've said this a lot lately but its true. Harper absolutely adores being outside and exploring so this is her prime time season ;) Last week I think we were outside for pretty much the whole day so of course I had to grab my camera to capture some cute moments. H found a wall of weeds on the neighbors house and she thought they were flowers so I showed her how to pick them and about 20 minutes later the whole wall of weeds was a "pwetty" boutique of grassy weeds/flowers. Hehe, I just thought it was the cutest thing ever so of course I have to flood this post with the pics!

It's The Little Things {Lazy Summer Days}

Now that it is summer I feel like everything in the world seems a little more chill... Right? OK maybe not because I'm still busy as hell but it just seems a little more relaxed. It probably stems from summer vacay, but wait, I'm not in school anymore so I don't know why I still have that mindset, haha! But that's exactly what we have been doing. Going outside on our free time and just relaxing and being lazy. Thank you summer and warm weather for fun days, tan lines, skinned knees, bath time every night, and great times! Pretty much sums up our "summer" so far and we are loving it!

sassy pants. Literally. I love this little ruffle booty ;)

Grass between the toes... <3

Yup, this is a staged photo because I really wanted her to wear this bib but she absolutely refused so Bella to the rescue! ha! Hipster Bib (On sale too!!)

It’s The Little Things {Puddle Jumping}

The last two days have been very dreary, cold, and rainy. This kinda weather can make me feel lazy and tired but I also kinda love these days! Yesterday when the rain had mostly stopped, we went outside for a bit to find some puddles. Since it had only been drizzling pretty much all day there weren’t many puddles but we found a small hole in the sidewalk to try and splash around in. I was teaching Harper to jump in it but she would just put her foot in it and say oooohh. ;) She did try to touch it but I told her it was icky water and she quickly changed her mind. She also finally got to wear her Copper River Fleece jacket that came all the way from Alaska where my Dad lives. Perfect for a chilly day! I can’t wait for another rainy day to go find some actual puddles to go jump around in!

I was showing her how to hide from the rain by the dry patch under the garage. And then she literally was “hiding” ;)

Thanks to Ashley & Jess for a great link up!!
