Lazy Weekend, Teething {sucks}, Thrush, and Dreams.

Another lazy weekend, oh I love you very much! It feels good to not have to go anywhere, do anything, and just be a complete bum. We have also been battling the ugly teething monster and now I think I might have thrush... (Does anyone have any experience with thrush? HELP) Never thought I would be buying nipple cream after a year of breastfeeding but I did and Harper and I are both in extreme pain. She is cutting four or five teeth all at once and it is breaking my heart. Her first two teeth came in suddenly and individually and never seemed to cause her any discomfort. Now these hellions are causing chaos to my sweet girl and I cant wait for this teething crap to be over... She has been given daily doses of Tylenol to help ease the pain and we try to just distract her when we see her getting uncomfortable (which turns on and off in an instant). Poor baby. Praying this is over soon.
I have also been busy setting up photo sessions with my friends and setting up a website/blog for my photography. I hope my business dreams pan out so that I can be a WAHM and have the best of both worlds.

Trying to distract pain with pretty breakfast ;)
This picture breaks my heart. I hate seeing her in pain. I just happened to catch this when I was trying to distract her with some selfies; my poor sweet girl, I wish I could take all your pain away \:(
For some reason I love this picture. I have always wanted to capture a moment of our special time together nursing to look back on and remember how amazing this time was. Its ironic how I could be in so much pain because of it but the pain is temporary, the bond is forever.
And I caught a happy girl! Oh I love her so.  Me holding my baby and my baby holding her baby.
PS- its extra hard to get a good pic of us, especially when its a self timer, grab the baby and pose. ;) This is real life.

My sweet fur baby Bella was my test shoot last night. I am doing a couple shoot with their dog tonight so I needed a little model. She sure is a good looking furry model. xoxoxo

Summertime Makeup

Beauty Wednesday is back! For today...
I haven't posted a beauty board in awhile so I thought I would post my summer face! Like most, I hate wearing a ton of makeup during the heated months. I like to feel fresh faced especially when you have a tan and feel like your glowing! That is the best!! I have been meaning to post my full face (like when going out or during the winter I always feel like I need more makeup. Is it just me?) but because I rarely go full out on the face paint these days, that will be some other day! I really love summer so much! I wish it would stay forever!! Or I need to move to a warm weather all year place! :)
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
One: Mascara. Easy peasy. Have to have mascara. Also in waterproof for obvious reasons!
Two: Waterproof Eyeliner. I love this one from E.L.F. It is only two dollars and is super easy to apply and does not move until you wash it off!
Three:  Concealer. This M.A.C Pro Longwear concealer is amazing! It is a little heavy but it is very shear when applied and stays in place alllll day! Perfect for hot sweaty days.
Four: Mineral Foundation Powder. I love these mineral powders for build able lightweight coverage. And I can usually use the same color all year round because its not heavy like my usual liquid foundation.
Five: Blush/Bronzer. I am so glad I discovered this amazing M.A.C. product. It is a perfect blend of a blush and bronzer. More blush like but it has gold shimmery goodness swirled in there and its perfect!
Six: Eyebrow Pencil. This is technically an eyeliner but I used it once on my brows and fell in love. This color "coffee" matches my brows perfectly and no matter what, I ALWAYS define and fill in my eyebrows. Nothing dramatic, just subtly to make them look perfecto! And this pencil is only ONE dollar!! Holla!
Seven: Lippys. Of course everyone loves Baby Lips. I really do la la love these cutie pa tooties! They are so moisturizing and I love the subtle color.
Who has an amazing summery product they want to share? Let me know! I always need an excuse to buy more makeup! ;)
I know I should have posted pics of my lovely (eeek) face done up in its summer wear but during the week I NEVER wear makeup (unless going somewhere other than the grocery store) so that pic will have to wait until the weekend! Happy Wednesday! xoxo

Harper's 12 Month Update

The last few weeks have been crazy for us.
With Harper turning one, my sister in town, me trying my hand in the photography world, and just crazy summertime, I feel like we haven't even sat down for more than two minutes. (Anyone else have those moments)? I am finally able to recap Harper as a ONE year old!!
Harper's 12 Month Stats:
Weight- 19 pounds (57%)
Height- 28 inches (21%)
Head- 18 inches (85%)
She is a healthy little peanut. She has had all of her vaccinations up to this point (no judgy if you don't agree. I come from a medical family and I think it is the best decision for my child). This appointment was the absolute worst by far. Shots and a finger prick.. My heart hurt so bad but she was fine after a couple minutes. :(
Eating:
She is still breastfeeding and I really don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I have introduced cows milk but just to kind of see how she reacts to it and so far its hit or miss. The first time she drank the whole cup and the second time she took one sip and threw it on the ground but once she drinks it regularly I plan on starting the weaning process... maybe :/ I just love it way too much still and I am not ready for her not to need me anymore... This girl loves to eat everything in sight! Everything I eat she has to eat too but I am glad she is not picky except for veggies, not her favorite. She still only has her two bottom teeth but the tops ones are fast approaching... She has been on edge for a couple weeks now and everyday I think they are going to pop through but nope, they are just sitting there under her gums. Poor baby, I wish I could take her pain away...
Funniest face EVER! I laugh every time I see this!
First time eating grilled cheese.
Clothing Size:
She is wearing so many different sizes of clothes and shoes. Mostly 6-12 months in everything but a few 3-6 leggings and 9 month onsies. Her shoes size is suppose to be a 4 according to the shoe sizer lady HA but she wears 3s, 4s, and her moccs are a size 5 and she can wear them even though they are pretty big. She wears  size three diapers and she has for like months now... Oh and she hates getting them changed.. She acts like its torture! ;) OK Harps, time for the big girl potty then! hehe.
9 Month dress a little too big. //Dress- Target Shoes- Old Navy
I know it's blurry but her face is killing me! // Shorts & Tank- Kohls Moccs- Freshly Picked
My favorite romper right now! And the cutest Popsicle headband! // Romper- Target Headband-  Rolly Polly Bowtique
Sleeping:
She is still sleeping with me at night but she does go down in her own crib around 7 p.m. and then I go and get her around midnight and she comes and sleeps with me in bed. Sounds weird but I am just not comfortable with her sleeping 2 floors away from me all night and I cant give up our snuggles at night. Sorry, Nick, I miss you too but shes only little once right?! She also takes her naps in the crib which is so amazing for both of us because she sleeps awesome and it gives me a little time to do stuff! I am so proud of her!

I still love when she sleeps on me when we are babysitting and not at home!
Favorites:
She is one active happy girl. She loves walking all over the place. If we are out in public she has to be walking like a big girl otherwise its a fit. She loves being outside especially with her Grandpa because he takes her on little walks around the house. She also loves the pool! She dips her head in the water like no biggie! Her favorite toys are her little people (we have every single Disney princess little person they make) and her castle. Also she loves her baby dolls and now has a stroller and crib for them! Adorable! She is already a good mommy! She also  loves giving kisses and hugs. I love love love her kisses so much! She use to do the open mouth kiss but now she puckers her lips and I melt!!! :) :)
She really does love our morning driveway dates! ;)
Bath time = Happy time
Pool Babe
She doesn't really love this toy anymore but its the only pic I have of her playing with something being a one year old! oops.
I feel like I am forgetting so much but there is just so much personality, cuteness, brains, sweetness, everything into this amazing little girl that I could probably write a book about how awesome she is!
She is perfect and beautiful and I still cant believe I have a one year old! We are so beyond blessed!!

A trip to the Children's Museum!!

Happy Saturday!!!
We went to the Omaha Children's Museum yesterday and it was so much fun, and exhausting. ;)
The place was more for bigger kids and I knew that but since Harper is such a good walker I knew she would enjoy it and she loves being around other kids. Yup, she loved being able to just walk around and we just followed her and tried showing her cool things to do but she didn't care. She is miss independent.

They have a couple cute exhibits like a little grocery store with play food and mini shopping carts, even a cash register. She just kept picking up all the foods and I found her a little basket to put her bread in. LOL. The older kids were kind of meanies though and would take stuff from her hands and I think I almost hit a couple kids but whatever. I know one thing, I hope Harper never acts like that to kids younger than her... It was a hard day for my momma bear attack mode instincts :0

I think this face says it all!!
Just a little shopping!
She was freaked out by these fake animals. LOL

Then there was a huge room with tubes and crazy contraptions and crazy stuff, I don't even know how to describe it but a giant ball pit with noises and balls flying all over. HA. But Harper loved this because there were tons of kids to watch and she was exploring all the craziness of the ball things. Oh my goodness. Cray Cray. Also, I almost punched a few kids again for grabbing the balls out of her hands and knocking her over. Also a chunky monkey way too old to be being a nut kid fell on my foot while I was holding Harper's hand walking and almost knocked both of us over! OMG. I was beyond annoyed and Nick thought I tripped the kid so I'm sure everyone else did too. haha. Oops.
My curious little fashionista! She was definitely the best dressed kid there ;)
run run run run

The balls would all collect and then all the kids would stand under this and wait for them to fall.
What is all this?
Harper made a couple sweet friends!
swoon. I really love this age!
This little girl kept coming up to H and handing her the balls and kept saying "here baby". It was so cute!!
And then they did this and my heart melted. :) :)
Cool tornado demonstration. I wanted her to stand in it but this is what I got. lol. I still think the light looks super cool!

I hope you all have a great weekend! I am so tired from yesterday that I am doing nothing all day!! Oh, except entertain my crazy bug which is a lot so never mind I will be busy!! :)

Harper's First Birthday Party!! {Part O n e}

I now present Harper's Pink + Gold, Princess, Tutu First Birthday Party!!!
Lol.
I am very happy with how it came together considering a tight budget and being held at my parents house and in the kitchen and dining room area. I only invited our closest friends and of course my parents and sister and her family so it was very intimate which was perfect for my shy girl. I of course put this pretty much all together day of (except for the DIY stuff) including going to Trader Joe's and Target to get a couple small finger foods (including mac and cheese bites, mini chicken tacos, and stuffed mushrooms) and some last minute things. I was stressed to the max and didn't have time to even get ready so I just threw on some jean shorts, THIS cute tank I picked up at Target in the girls section, threw my hair in a bun and wa la!! At least Harper looked like a little ballerina princess in her ruffle pettidress (similar) and her custom Jameson Monroe headband
The cake table.
I made the first birthday stats chalkboard myself on photoshop. I planned for these cupcakes to have yellow tissue paper coming out the top of the straws but I ran out of time. These were funfetti cupcakes with cotton candy frosting!
Harper and her monthly pictures.
We had sparkling lemonades and pink and white frosted animal crackers.
Pink and Gold backdrop. I made the tassel garland. The Happy Birthday is a generic one from Target that I spray painted gold and the paper garland is also from Target.
I ordered this small cake from a local bakery plain and then just added the sprinkles myself and found the glitter 1 at walmart.
These tiara hair combs were also found at Target in the party favor bin for $2 dollars for four! I also added the sparkly gold onto the clear cake stand from Party City by just painting the underneath with gold sparkle nail polish. Genious right?!
Made a mini tutu for her high chair and the ONE with pipe cleaners and spray painted them gold.
I am very proud of my tassel garland! It took me a few weeks every night to make this but it was well worth it!
For my parents kitchen not matching the theme AT ALL, I think it turned out pretty damn good ;)
And of course I just hung a tutu on a pretty hanger for a cute added touch.

I hope you enjoyed Harper's First Birthday Party!!!!
