It’s The Little Things {Puddle Jumping}

The last two days have been very dreary, cold, and rainy. This kinda weather can make me feel lazy and tired but I also kinda love these days! Yesterday when the rain had mostly stopped, we went outside for a bit to find some puddles. Since it had only been drizzling pretty much all day there weren’t many puddles but we found a small hole in the sidewalk to try and splash around in. I was teaching Harper to jump in it but she would just put her foot in it and say oooohh. ;) She did try to touch it but I told her it was icky water and she quickly changed her mind. She also finally got to wear her Copper River Fleece jacket that came all the way from Alaska where my Dad lives. Perfect for a chilly day! I can’t wait for another rainy day to go find some actual puddles to go jump around in!

I was showing her how to hide from the rain by the dry patch under the garage. And then she literally was “hiding” ;)

Thanks to Ashley & Jess for a great link up!!

Trendy Littles Tuesday// Black, White, & POP!

Hey Tuesday, you are being transformed into Trendy Littles Tuesday over here on PMM. :)
In my efforts to blog more regularly I tried to come up with a new reoccurring topic for every day of the week. I knew I needed a day to show adorable little ones fashion finds because I have an obsession with little babe trendies! Tuesday is also one of the only days that I plan and lay out Harper’s OOTD because she goes to school in the morning so it works out great that I can plan her outfit according to that weeks trendy topic! (Sorry for the over use of the word Tuesday... oops, and T words. hehe)

This week I am crushing on black and white everything (still) and pops of bright colors! I am still not over the black and white trend obviously and I am not overly in love with OMG NEON EVERYWHERE so I love just the pop of it with two of my most favorite colors!

Girlfriend wanted nothing to do with pictures today so better luck next time! :0

Weekend Recap {Camera Roll}

Another weekend has come and gone, sigh. We always miss the weekends but I always look forward to the new weeks because we are busy bees over here. Harper now goes to school twice a week which she is liking more and more every time we go. She does gymnastics on Wednesday mornings so that gives us a fun activity to do (not to mention a workout for Me...). And I recently accepted a very part time salon job that I am so excited about! Not to mention all the photo sessions and wedding galore I have booked this year that I can’t wait to shoot. We are getting busier and busier so the down time on the weekends is much needed and we love our relaxing time ;)
This weekend was just that. I like to think of my weekend starting on Friday and because Daddy is home on Fridays so its kinda like our “fun” day as a family. H went to school and then we picked her up and went home to eat lunch and nap. Then we played outside pretty much the rest of the day. I did a little work for my friend Sara and then we went out a had a few drinks with them and H stayed with Grandma. Thanks Mom!

Saturday we spent most of the day with the grandparents. We were already playing outside by 10 a.m. and were convinced by a certain almost 2 year old to take a walk down to the park. So we all went (dogs included) down to the park which is a quick 5 minute walk from our house. Harps loves swinging and its pretty much the only park play “thing” she will get on. She gets freaked out by the other equipment for some reason so she’s mostly just running around and watching other kids. We finally persuaded her to go back home so we could run to the pet store for dog food so we packed up and headed out. We of course had to stop at Starbucks for a chocolate milk treat and then headed home for nap time. After nap we ate and played outside again while we waited for Daddy to get home.

Sunday we woke up to a very dreary rainy day so we ran a couple errands with Grandma to Costco and Target to pick up a few groceries and training panties for H. Yup, beginner panties! (We are not really potty training but just preparing for it.) She also threw a fit when we had to put the Sofia toys back so I was chalked up as worst mom ever for a few moments but was regained as good Momma with a Sofia coloring book. Thanks dollar section! Seriously, this girl does not need another toy till her birthday. We are swimming in pink, girly, doll, coloring book land and actually drowning :/ Made a quick stop at Chipotle and it was off to nap time. She was in rare form yesterday and was just very moody and grumpy. :( I think she’s teething again so I tried to be as patient as possible but when she was completely acting out, she was introduced to a little time out. We did go outside after the rain stopped and her mood was quickly turned around. We blew bubbles and she wore her new panties and wedges while walking around the backyard! HA! Totally made my day!! I tried for an early bedtime but that didn’t work out... She finally fell asleep around 1 a.m. Yawn.

Today is back to the grind of laundry, cleaning, blogging, catching up on emails and other random things but luckily I am in a good mood about starting Monday with a smile because of a great weekend!!

Freshly Picked Moccasins {Review}

Oh my goodness friends, I am so excited to be sharing with you THE best baby/child shoe on the planet. No, really. They are that absolutely superb!!!
The one and only Freshly Picked Moccasins.

Frosted Rose Moccasins c/o Freshly Picked
I have been enamored with these beauties since last year when I saw them popping up all over Instagram and I knew I had to get my hands on some to find out what all the buzz was about. I mean, sure they are the most adorable pair of shoes you've ever seen, but once we finally got our first pair I quickly learned they are so much more than looks. But really, the looks are just out of this world cute!

Last year I bought Harps her first pair right when she started walking because I wanted her to have a good quality "first pair of shoes." They are literally the most perfect first pair of shoes ever... beyond first walkers and even for the littlest of babes of course. FP moccs are made of 100% leather so they are of the utmost quality. They are also buttery soft and feel very luxurious to me which of course I love for my little princess ;) These babes are soft soled shoes but don't let that scare you away from fear of wear and tear. They are extremely durable and have lasted for over a year and still in excellent condition. These are definitely our most worn shoes because of how easy they are to slip on and off with their elastic opening but they also NEVER come off of Harper's foot unless we take them off ourselves. I love this because there is nothing worse than losing a baby shoe while you are out and about. (I would cry for days if that ever happened to our beloved moccs.)
I accidentally bought her first pair two sizes too big (at the time) but I am so glad I kept them because she wore them from the day then came in the mail (may 2013) till today and there is still a little growing room. They are like magic because she was never tripped up by the extra space and I'm pretty sure no other shoe out there would last a growing one year old this long. Although they are true to size,  I would still check out their sizing guide for an accurate fit. Another amazing quality (out of the 500, hehe) is that no matter what the temperature, from 0 degrees to 100 degrees, they are totally perfect for little feet. H has sweaty stinky feet sometimes and even when its 80 out and she's been running and playing for hours, as soon as I take her moccs off for the day, her feet are still dry and not stinky whatsoever. Magic, I tell ya!

We seriously get so many compliments when she's wearing them and I love how they are so versatile for every outfit and occasion. And for boys as well! I was always nervous she would slip on a slick floor (i.e. Target) but she never has in her moccs.  Just another "I love you" FP moment! Lets not forget about how many to die for color options that are available! (Hello Rose Gold coming out today!!) I know these babes are an investment but take it from someone who loathes paying full price for pretty much everything; Freshly Picked Moccasins are sooooo worth every penny and then some, I promise!  I am planning on keeping every pair of them for Harps as keepsakes so they will hopefully be in our family forever which I love! Your child's foot print will literally be stamped on the bottom of his/her moccs for eternity. Like a mini time capsule! Now how cool is that?! It is one of my favorite parts of this shoe! And the fringe, I melt.

How sweet is that footprint? I know I will cherish that forever!

I do not have one bad thing to say or even thought about these moccs and this amazing company. Susan (FP owner/founder) is such an inspiration to Me and so many. If you do not know her story you have to read it ASAP. Every pair of moccs is handmade in the USA which is just the cherry on top of this incredible Freshly Picked sundae!
Now go do you and your babes a favor and get a pair; and then come thank me, & FP of course! ;)

Thank you so much FP for your generosity in allowing me to review your one of a kind fabulous moccasins!
